Our Story
Zwele Trading CC is a close corporation founded on the 7th of August 2007 by Zwelithini and Phumudzo Thabethe, and operating since 2011. Its founding mandate was mainly to provide better job opportunities for the greater community of Ermelo and surrounding areas.
Over more than a decade of operation, Zwele Trading has seen significant growth through partnerships in areas such as construction, scaffolding, property and transport. The company also operates as a resource company pursuing opportunities in the mining sector, having embarked on various mining projects in coal, chrome and iron ore.
Zwele Trading works hand in glove with local business forums and the communities of Witbank, Middelburg, Ogies, Kriel and Phola — key stakeholders in ensuring a greater working relationship within the industry.

Leadership
A husband-and-wife founding team combining hands-on industry experience with sharp financial and commercial management.
Zweli brings extensive knowledge and experience within the construction, scaffolding, mining and logistics industries, working with various stakeholders with a view to maximising economic benefits for all. He excels in networking and relationship building — the foundation of Zwele Trading’s partnerships across South Africa.
Phumudzo heads up the finance function and also brings the management and marketing skills acquired over years of serving in various portfolios — in some cases with multi-national companies. Her commercial discipline keeps every Zwele Trading project on a firm financial footing.
